IS SMOOTH AND WELL BEHAVED, ESPECIALLY DURING STOP-AND-GO DRIVING. THE CVT GOES
UP THE RANGE OF GEARS WITH ABSOLUTELY NO SHIFT SHOCKS AND THE OCCUPANTS ENJOY A
VERY SMOOTH RIDE. THE TRANSMISSION IS ALSO AIDED BY A LOW GEAR SETTING AND ALSO
A SPORT SETTING FOR A MORE ENGAGING DRIVE.
THE MORE POPULAR 1.5
LITRE DIESEL MILL HAS BEEN TWEAKED FOR BETTER FUEL EFFICIENCY BUT POWER OUTPUT
REMAINS UNCHANGED AT 85 PS AND 200 NM OF TORQUE. THE ECU REMAPPING HAS HELPED
THE ENGINE RETURN AN EXTRA 1 KILOMETRE PER LITRE, WHICH IS A WELCOME CHANGE.

DRIVER’S CAR.

SETTING REMAINS UNCHANGED, THE SUNNY IS EQUIPPED WITH BETTER NOISE INSULATION
MEASURES, THUS IMPROVING THE RIDE QUALITY. YOU GET A QUIETER CABIN, EVEN ON THE
COMPARATIVELY LOUDER DIESEL VARIANT, WITH WIND ROAR AND ROAD NOISE PRACTICALLY
ELIMINATED. STEERING PRECISION AND CORNERING STABILITY ARE NOT SUNNY’S FORTE,
